Olympiacos moved four points clear of bitter rivals Panathinaikos at the top of the Super League with a 3-0 win over Aris, while Pana were defeated 2-0 at AEK Athens. Ivan Marcano gave Olympiacos an 18th-minute lead and they doubled their advantage through a Jose Holebas penalty on the stroke of half-time, with the visitors reduced to ten men just before the break following the sending-off of goalkeeper Michail Sifakis. Kevin Mirallas made the points safe for the Piraeus club with 21 minutes to go, extending their winning streak in the league to six matches. Panathinaikos suffered a second straight defeat as goals from Leonardo in the 48th minute and Victor Klonaridis on 71 minutes gave AEK their first win in four games and took them to within a point of third-placed PAOK Salonika. At the bottom, Panetolikos leapfrogged Ergotelis with a 2-0 win, but remain in the bottom three. Veteran striker Angelos Charisteas gave them a 23rd-minute lead and Henri Camara's 51st-minute spot-kick made it back-to-back wins for Panetolikos.
