Hernan Pellerano's last-minute strike ensured Newell's Old Boys won 1-0 at Velez Sarsfield to leapfrog their opponents into fourth in the Clausura table on Monday. The game appeared to be drifting towards stalemate until Pellerano struck moments before the final whistle. The result left Newell's one point ahead of their opponents and two behind Clausura leaders Estudiantes.
