New deal for Allegri

Massimiliano Allegri has extended his contract as coach of Italian champions AC Milan until June 2014, the club confirmed today. Allegri's previous deal was set to expire this summer. A statement from Milan read: "AC Milan announces that Massimiliano Allegri has extended his contract until June 30, 2014." The 44-year-old led Milan to the Serie A title last season in his first year in charge. Milan are the top of the standings, level on 37 points with Juventus ahead of Sunday's derby against Inter Milan.
