AC Milan defender Daniele Bonera looks set to be ruled out for up to three months after breaking his kneecap in the club's 2-1 friendly win against Valencia on Saturday. The 32-year-old was diagnosed with a compound fracture of the patella in his right knee after the game at the Mestalla, and his injury was not the only blow for I Rossoneri, with team-mate Robinho also picking up an adductor problem. "After initial investigations carried out and after consultation with professor Herbert Schonhuber, we opted for conservative treatment with a prognosis of a return (for Bonera) between 70 and 90 days, barring complications," a club statement read. "Robinho suffers from an adductor muscle problem in his left thigh. In two weeks he will undergo further medical examinations to determine the extent of the injury." Source: fifa.com
