Lorient tie down Jouffre

Lorient midfielder Yann Jouffre has signed a contract extension, committing his future to the Ligue 1 club until June 2014. Jouffre has made 82 Ligue 1 appearances, scoring six goals, since joining from Guingamp in January 2008. "I am very pleased to have reached an agreement with the club," Jouffre told the club's website. "It's a relief. I would have been disappointed to leave Lorient." However, there was also some bad news for the club as defender Gregory Bourillon needs surgery on his groin and is expected to miss two months. Bourillon only returned from a similar injury in December.
