Substitute Vicente Vuoso scored five minutes from time to send Club America third in the Clausura table with a 2-1 win over ten-man Unam Pumas on Sunday. Vuoso had only been on the pitch for six minutes when he struck to put his side within a point of leading duo Santos Laguna and Morelia. Christian Benitez had put Club ahead from the spot in the ninth minute, before Carlos Cacho converted a spot-kick of his own in 57th minute for the Pumas, who had Jose Antonio Garcia sent off 10 minutes from the end. Substitute Neri Cardozo rescued a point for Monterrey in a 1-1 draw at Toluca as his 78th-minute effort cancelled out a 31st-minute penalty from Ivan Alonso. Wilmer Aguirre scored the only goal in the 71st minute as San Luis won 1-0 at Puebla, who had half-time substitute Aldo Polo sent off in the 64th minute.
