Roma midfielder Erik Lamela will be sidelined for three weeks after injuring an ankle ligament against Torino on Monday night. The 20-year-old Argentinian suffered a blow to his right ankle in the second half of a 2-0 Serie A victory over the Granata, with tests confirming ligament damage today. A statement published on asroma.it read: "Erik Lamela has today undergone medical examinations which have revealed a ligament injury to his right ankle. The prognosis is three weeks (of recovery)." Lamela has scored eight goals in 12 appearances for i Giallorossi this season, including seven goals in the six matches preceding Monday's game, but the young playmaker will now miss games against Pescara, Siena and Fiorentina.
