Poland international Ariel Borysiuk today signed for German top-flight club Kaiserslautern, his current side Legia Warsaw has said. The transfer deal with the Bundesliga club comes after raging speculation about the 21-year-old defensive midfielder's future. The saga took a bizarre turn after Borysiuk reportedly agreed a deal with Kaiserslautern and on Sunday left Legia's winter training camp in Turkey. But after landing in Germany he went on to Belgium to take a medical with first-division Club Brugge, before finally accepting Kaiserslautern's offer. Financial details of the deal with the Red Devils were not disclosed. Borysiuk made his Legia debut in December 2007, playing 132 matches and scoring four goals for the Polish powerhouses since then. He has also has been capped three times for Poland, although he is not a fixture in the UEFA EURO 2012 co-hosts' starting line-up, not having been called up since June 2011.
