German Bundesliga club Kaiserslautern have signed Algeria centre-back Anthar Yahia on a three-year deal. The 29-year-old, who has won 52 caps for Algeria, has signed until June 2015 and with Kaiserslautern currently third from bottom and in the relegation zone. Yahia signs from Saudi Arabian side Al-Nasr and has experience of German football, having spent four years at Vfl Bochum, and Kaiserslautern chairman Stefan Kuntz is delighted to have signed him. "If a player of this quality is available on a free transfer, we have to sign him," he said. "Anthar Yahia has experience with Bochum in the struggle to stay in the league. He speaks perfect German and knows the league, so there are no integration problems expected."
