The Nerazzurri have set their sights on the former Fiorentina and Parma trainer, but his obligations with the national team may prove to be a stumbling block.Inter are keen to appoint Italy boss Cesare Prandelli as their new head coach, but the 54-year-old's current engagement with the Azzurri is putting a halt to a potential move, Goal.com has learned. The Giuseppe Meazza side have been in the market for a trainer ever since Claudio Ranieri got the sack last month, and president Massimo Moratti sees the former Fiorentina boss as the perfect replacement.Prandelli is reportedly open to a return to club coaching, but he is reluctant to make a decision on his future ahead of Euro 2012 as he wants to focus on his current job.Inter are believed to be exploring alternatives, should the Italy trainer decide to turn down their offer in the summer.Moratti has already been in touch with former Porto and Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas, while current caretaker boss Andrea Stramaccioni is also a candidate to remain in charge of Inter beyond the 2011-12 campaign.
