Daniel Gygax's last-minute penalty rescued a 2-2 draw for Lucerne at Young Boys in a dramatic Swiss Super League encounter that saw three players sent off. Young Boys, third at kick-off, knew victory today would take them to within a point of second-placed Lucerne in the battle to finish as runners-up to champions Basel. The hosts looked well on target to claim the win when they went 2-0 up thanks to goals from Alexander Gonzalez (9) and Mathias Vitkieviez (61). Nelson Ferreira pulled a goal back for Lucerne after 72 minutes, but the 81st-minute dismissal of Burim Kukeli for violent conduct appeared to end the visitors' hopes of snatching a draw. But there was late drama to come as Gygax stroked home a penalty in the 90th minute to snatch a point for Lucerne. The night then nosedived further for Young Boys, who first lost Pascal Doubai to a second yellow card in injury time before Raul Bobadilla followed suit for the same offence in the 93rd minute.
