Gil Vicente booked their place in the Taca da Liga final after beating Braga on penalties on Thursday. Gil Vicente, only promoted to the top flight last season, upset their more-fancied opponents 4-2 on spot-kicks after scoring an 89th-minute equaliser in a 2-2 draw. Hugo Vieira put Gil Vicente in front in the 16th minute, but Lima levelled in the 25th minute and Helder Barbosa put Braga ahead six minutes later. But Junior Caicara levelled a minute from time and, after neither side could find a winner in extra time, Gil Vicente held their nerve in the shoot-out to book a final meeting with Benfica.
