Arsenal Ladies are out of the Women's Champions League after a 2-0 defeat in Frankfurt on Saturday. Laura Harvey's side headed into the second leg with work to do after a disappointing 2-1 defeat at Meadow Park in last Sunday's first meeting. Despite Arsenal's best efforts, three-times winners Frankfurt booked their place in the final with a controlled performance in Germany. Dzenifer Marozsan broke the deadlock with half an hour left before Swedish international Jessica Landstrom completed a 4-1 aggregate victory in the final minutes. It is the second time in two years that Arsenal have been knocked out at the semi-final stage, having gone down to eventual winners Lyon last season. Potsdam and Lyon will contest the competition's other semi-final second leg on Sunday, with the French outfit holding a 5-1 advantage.
