France's Manaudou wins men's 50m freestyle gold

Florent Manaudou of France won the Olympic Games gold medal in the men's swimming 50m freestyle Friday. Manaudou, the younger brother of former Olympic women's 400m freestyle champion Laure, hit the wall in 21.34secs to win the one-lap dash. Cullen Jones of the United States won the silver in 21.54sec, with Brazilian world record holder Cesar Cielo taking bronze in 21.59sec. Cielo's teammate Bruno Fratus was fourth ahead of American Anthony Ervin.
