Porto kept themselves five points behind Benfica at the Liga summit thanks to a 4-0 win over Uniao Leiria tonight. After a goalless first half, the game opened up when the visitors had Jose Shaffer sent off three minutes into the second period. Marc Janko (66) and James Rodriguez (74) put Porto in control and late goals from Alvaro Pereira and Roque Maicon made it an emphatic scoreline. Guimaraes earned a 1-0 win away to Beira Mar, Marcelo Toscano's 17th-minute goal enough to settle the match in the visitors' favour. Rio Ave were 2-0 winners at Olhanense, where Pinto Yazalde opening the scoring in the second minute before Joao Tomas clinched victory late in the first half. Pacos Ferreira triumphed 3-1 at home to Feirense. Manuel Jose's early penalty and Michel Lugo's 34th-minute goal put the hosts 2-0 up and, though Alexandre Ludovic pulled a goal back with another penalty shortly before half-time, substitute Chistian Irobiso added a late third for Pacos Ferreira.
