Boniek Garcia scored in the 33rd minute Sunday and the Houston Dynamo booked a return trip to the MLS Cup with 1-1 draw against D.C. United. Garcia's tally put the icing on the cake for the Dynamo, who entered the second leg of the Eastern Conference Finals with a 3-1 lead and ended the aggregate-goal series with a 4-2 advantage. The result ensured the Dynamo's second trip to the championship final in two years -- they fell to Los Angeles in the 2011 MLS Cup -- and wrapped up their fourth conference championship in seven seasons. Branko Boskovic scored in the 82nd minute for second-seeded D.C. United.
