Federico Higuain scored twice, including on a tie-breaking penalty kick in the 62nd minute of the Columbus Crew's 2-1 decision over Toronto FC. Higuain drew a hard foul in the penalty area from Terry Dunfield, who was given a yellow card on the play. Higuain put it in past Freddy Hall after executing a fake and shooting low to the short side. Higuain also scored in the 17th minute for the Crew, who overcame cold, rainy and windy conditions to finish the season at 15-12-7 -- good for sixth in the Eastern Conference one point out of a playoff spot. Andrew Wiedeman scored for Toronto (5-21-8), which ended the season on a 14-game winless streak.
