Italo-Brazilian striker Amauri has joined Fiorentina from Juventus for a reported fee of €500,000, the two clubs announced today. Amauri has not featured for the 'Old Lady of Turin' this season since being frozen out of the first-team picture for refusing various moves over the summer, including transfers to French side Marseille and Turkish outfit Trabzonspor. The striker joined the Turin-based side from Palermo in 2008 but lost his place in the starting lineup last season and was sent on loan to Parma in January for the remainder of the 2010-11 campaign. Born in Brazil, the 31-year-old gained Italian citizenship in April 2010 and made his only appearance for Italy in a friendly against Côte d'Ivoire in August that same year.
