Miralem Sulejmani will be out of action for at least four months due to a knee injury, his club Ajax announced on Wednesday. Sulejmani injured his left knee in last Sunday's 4-1 victory over Roda JC Kerkrade. During a surgery on Wednesday, meniscal damage in his left knee was detected and restored. The 23-year-old Sulejmani will miss the remainder of the 2011/2012 season and will probably only be fit at the start of next season. He played 22 league matches this season, in which he scored 11 times. Sulejmani's contract at Ajax runs out in 2013. The injury could mean he will not be sold in the forthcoming summer and will leave the club on a free transfer next year. In 2008 Ajax took over Sulejmani from Heerenveen for a total of 17.9 million Euros.
