Emirates airline yesterday announced that it has renewed their sponsorship with Hamburger SV for another three seasons until June 2015. "The renewal of our sponsorship with HSV underlines Emirates' commitment to sports fans worldwide, but especially to our customers in Germany", said Salem Obaidalla, Emirates' Senior Vice-President, Commercial Operations, Europe & Russian Federation. "Our partnership with such a popular club, enjoying a fan base across our vast route network, brings Emirates closer to football enthusiasts globally. We wish HSV all the best." Volker Greiner, Emirates' Vice-President North and Central Europe, HSV CEO Carl-Edgar Jarchow and HSV CMO Joachim Hilke made the announcement at a media conference in Hamburg. "Emirates is an exciting global brand and its presence has become a familiar sight at top sporting events around the world," said HSV CEO Carl-Edgar Jarchow. "We are proud that Emirates continues its relationship as main sponsor, taking us right through to 2015. It is a partnership with mutual benefits and we are very happy since both our brands share common goals like passion for excellence. This sponsorship underlines the airline's commitment to Germany and the desire to be part of the community and the social fabric of Hamburg," Jarchow added. The international airline of the UAE has been the main sponsor of HSV, a German Bundesliga club, since 2006. Emirates' impressive football sponsorship portfolio also includes Arsenal, PSG, AC Milan, Real Madrid, Olympiacos, the Asian Football Confederation and the Saudi Professional League.
