Liga leaders Benfica flexed their muscles with a 4-0 win away to Uniao Leiria tonight. Leading at the break through Bruno Cesar's tenth-minute strike, they stepped on the accelerator in the second half as Oscar Cardozo doubled the lead three minutes after the restart. Rodrigo Moreno then scored twice in three minutes to wrap up the emphatic victory for the Lisbon outfit, who sit two points clear of Porto. Nacional were commendable 3-0 winners away to Gil Vicente. Danielson put them ahead just a minute in and it was 2-0 five minutes later as Mario Rondon scored past Adriano. The hosts had Rodrigo Galo sent off in the 62nd minute but it made little difference, with Dejan Skolnik rounding off the scoring seven minutes from time. Guimaraes won 1-0 at home to Feirense, through Marcelo Toscano's goal, while Maritimo held on to beat Olhansense 2-1 at home. Joao Tomas' first-half penalty helped Rio Ave beat Pacos Ferreira 1-0 in a game which saw both teams suffer a sending off late on.
