Dunfermline were relegated from the Scottish Premier League after a heavy 4-0 defeat to Hibernian at Easter Road on Monday. The Pars conceded three times in the opening 15 minutes as Matt Doherty headed in after five minutes before crossing for Eoin Doyle to apply the second six minutes later. Garry O'Connor converted his 16th goal of the season from the spot after Austin McCann fouled Paul Hanlon, who then volleyed in a fourth after 81 minutes, although replays suggested the strike had not crossed the line. Defeat leaves Dunfermline eight points adrift of Hibs at the foot of the table, with just one round remaining.
