Cruz Azul squandered a half-time lead and missed out on the chance to move to within two points of the summit of Mexico's Apertura. Things looked promising when Christian Gimenez converted a 38th-minute penalty to give them the lead at Santos Laguna. However, the home side turned things round after the break, with Carlos Quintero equalising in the 48th minute and Rodolfo Salinas settling the contest 13 minutes from time. The result means Cruz Azul remain five points off the pace with just a game remaining. Jaguares moved above Unam Pumas on the back of a strong first half display. Edgar Andrade scored twice in the space of five minutes before Luis Rey made it 3-0 three minutes before half-time - and that was how it finished. Jaguares are now eighth on 22 points, four places and two points above their opponents. From FIFA
