The Brazilian club do not agree with the Nerazzurri's valuation of the player and have dropped out of the race for the 32-year-old.Corinthians have decided not to follow up their interest in Inter forward Diego Forlan, according to Lancenet. The Brazilians are understood to be in the market for a new striker after releasing Adriano in March as a result of the 30-year-old's excessive fitness problems. After failing in their efforts to sign Villarreal's Nilmar, Corinthians opened talks with Inter regarding Forlan, only to be deterred by the Nerazzurri's asking price of €5 million for the Uruguayan. The former Atletico Madrid man, who signed for Inter last summer, has struggled for fitness and form at San Siro, netting two goals in 19 appearances for the club.Although Corinthians spent roughly the same fee to lure Alex away from Spartak Moscow, it is believed that the Sao Paulo outfit will not pay over the odds for a player who will turn 33 in May.Forlan confessed last week that he was disappointed with his first season at Inter, but ruled out a move away from the Serie A club.
