London - Arabstoday

Chelsea are planning a shock swoop on Newcastle United goalkeeper Tim Krul this summer, according to a report. The Blues are lining up a £15 million move to Stamford Bridge for the 24-year-old Dutchman with the lure of Champions League football. Roman Abramovich has agreed to bankroll a big-money offer for Krul after growing concerns at Chelsea over the form of Petr Cech, according to the Daily Mail. The highly-rated goalkeeper is also a target of Chelsea's FA Cup semifinal opponents on Sunday Tottenham Hotspur. Newcastle United tied up Krul to a long-term deal earlier this year but owner Mike Ashley prides will not stand in Krul's way at the right price for the club, the report added.
