Germany's Super Cup was claimed by DFB-Pokal cup champions Borussia Dortmund in a 2-0 win over Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich on Wednesday.
Wingers Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang both got on the scoresheet in front of a large crowd of 80,000 spectators at their home stadium, Signal Iduna Park.
Armenian international Mkhitaryan took advantage of a misplaced pass made by Bayern defender David Alaba to slot home in the 23rd minute.
Up to that point, both sides seemed equally-matched, however, the second half was a different picture with evident dominance from Borussia Dortmund.
A minute after the hour mark, Gabon's Aubameyang struck the second linking up with a Lukasz Piszczek cross to earn his side their first silverware of the 2014-15 season.
