Secretary-General of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa met here today with the head and members of the Bahraini delegation to the London Paralympics 2012, set to be held from August 29 to September 11. During the meeting, attended by the Executive Director for Sports Affairs Noaman Al Hassan, Shaikh Ahmed conveyed greetings from the Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport and BOC President Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and his sincere congratulations to athletes Fatima Abdulrazzaq and Ahmed Mushaima following their qualification for such a major sports event. He also called upon members of the delegation to honour the kingdom during the London Paralympics, praising the landmark achievements of Bahraini athletes with special needs. He also took pride in efforts made by national trainers training those athletes, reiterating BOC’s support for all sports federations, including the Bahrain Disabled Sports Federations, wishing Bahraini athletes every success. On his part, head of the delegation Sabah Al Dhawadi expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to BOC’s President Shaikh Nasser, CEO Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa and Secretary-General Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa for BOC’s continuous supports for athletes with special needs. The delegation will leave the kingdom on Wednesday.
