Braga lost their 13-match Liga winning streak and top spot in the standings tonight after going down to a last-minute goal at title rivals Benfica.
All three goals in Benfica's 2-1 victory came in the last 12 minutes, with Axel Witsel's penalty putting the hosts ahead only for Uwa Echiejile to pull Braga level in the 82nd minute.
Things looked set to finish level at a goal apiece, but Benfica netted a 90th-minute winner through Bruno Cesar to end Braga's impressive run and help knock them off the summit.
Taking over first place are Porto, who beat Olhanense 2-0 in tonight's other game following goals from Lucho Gonzalez (24) and James Rodriguez (66). Porto are now a point clear of Benfica, who are in turn a point above third-placed Braga.
