Barcelona denied by Malaga Sevilla
Madrid - Arab Today

Barcelona's 100 per cent winning start to their Primera Division campaign ended after a goalless draw at Malaga.
Luis Enrique, in his first season at the helm at the Nou Camp, had led his side to four successive victories with 11 goals in the process. However, at La Rosaleda, they were lucky to escape with a point and failed to register a shot on target.
Joao Miranda's second-half header proved the difference as Atletico Madrid beat Almeria 1-0 and maintained their unbeaten start to the season in La Liga. Miranda's second goal in as many games and his third for the season means Atletico climb to second in the table, one point behind Barcelona albeit having played a game more.
Diego Simeone's side were far from their best at Estadio de los Juegos Mediterraneos but the win sees them keep pace at the top of the table ahead of a difficult match at home to Sevilla on Saturday.
Sevilla climb to lofty height
Sevilla moved joint top of the table with Barcelona after a superb volley from Gerard Deulofeu saw off Real Sociedad and heaped more misery on under-fire boss Jagoba Arrasate. The Barcelona loanee, who spent last season at Everton, struck the only goal of the game after 18 minutes but Sevilla were well worth the three points and only their profligacy in front of goal spared La Real a drubbing.
The Basque side suffered their second consecutive defeat in four days and have taken just four points so far this season, but things could hardly be different for Sevilla, who notched their fourth consecutive victory.
Eibar's excellent start to life in the top flight continued as they achieved a hard fought 1-1 draw at home to Villarreal. The hosts' captain Mikel Arruabarrena struck his first goal of the season to give Gaizka Garitano's side the lead after just nine minutes, but Villarreal produced a strong second half display and drew level thanks to a wonderful goal from Gerard Moreno. Last season's Segunda Division champions now have seven points from their first five games, just one fewer than Villarreal.
A fine solo goal by Ruben Garcia settled a tight game at Granada 1-0 and allowed Levante to pick up their first win of the season to move out of the relegation zone. The young midfielder struck right at the beginning of the second half to give the visitors the lead at the Nuevo Los Carmenes and Los Granotes held on to get one over their former boss Joaquin Caparros, who suffered his first defeat in charge of Granada. The hosts edged Levante in the first half but had no goals to show for it.
Leo Baptistao added a late winner to his first-half equaliser as Rayo Vallecano came from behind to beat Athletic Bilbao 2-1 at home. Athletic were in front in the 20th minute through Aritz Aduriz's close-range finish.
But their poor start to the season continued after Baptistao, scoring his first goals since his return to Rayo over the summer, turned the game on its head. The on-loan Atletico Madrid forward pounced on a Gorka Iraizoz error to level in the 39th minute and then notched again in the 89th.
