Barcelona cruised into the Champions League quarter-finals with an ultimately comfortable victory over Manchester City on Wednesday. The Catalan giants won their last 16, second leg clash 2-1 to complete a 4-1 aggregate victory as City just as in the first leg had a player sent off, this time full-back Pablo Zabaleta. Lionel Messi gave the hosts a second half lead before City captain Vincent Kompany equalised a minute from time, only for Dani Alves to snatch an injury time winner. The 2009 and 2011 champions thus joined holders Bayern Munich, compatriots Atletico Madrid and French giants Paris Saint-Germain as the first four quarter-finalists. Source: AFP
