Barça terminate Hleb contract

Belarus midfielder Alexander Hleb has reached agreement with Barcelona to mutually terminate his contract, the Spanish and European champions have announced. "Barcelona and the Belarusian player have reached an agreement for the early termination of the contract tying the player to the club, which would normally end 30 June 2012," the club explained. The 30-year-old joined Barça from Arsenal in the summer of 2008 but featured sparingly under Pep Guardiola and spent loan spells at Stuttgart, Birmingham City and Wolfsburg between 2009 and 2011.
