Atletico Madrid edged Sevilla 2-1 in the Spanish Cup semi-final first leg on Thursday in a match where all three goals came from the penalty spot and three players were red-carded. Diego Costa put away two spot-kicks, in the 49th and 72nd minutes, for Atletico with Alvaro Negredo replying also with a penalty in the 56th minute. Sevilla had Emir Spahic and Fernando Navarro sent off with Diego Godin Leal being red-carded for Atletico while six others were yellow-carded. On Wednesday, Real Madrid and Barcelona drew 1-1 in their first leg clash. The second legs take place on February 27. From AFP
