London - UPI

Zhou Lulu brought China its fifth weightlifting gold medal of the Olympics Sunday by winning the heaviest women's weight class in the sport. Zhou hoisted a world record total of 333 kilograms in the over 75-kilogram class, becoming the second person to hold the world mark during the course of the event. Russia's Tatiana Kashirina had broken the record three times during the day before Zhou made her final lift. Kashirina had to settle for the silver medal and Hripsime Khurshudyan of Armenia won her country's first medal of these Games with a bronze. Armenia won six medals in Beijing. China collected nine Olympic gold medals in weightlifting four years ago. This event was the last weightlifting competition for women at the London Games.
