AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri fielded a fringe team tonight, but they were strong enough to progress to the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia with a 3-0 win over Reggina. Allegri took the likes of Stephan El Shaarawy and Antonio Nocerino out of his side, but watched on as his improving squad made light work of the Amaranto. It did take them until the second half to get going, but when they did they never looked back, with Mario Yepes opening their account six minutes after the interval. M'Baye Niang then made it two with 11 minutes left, before Giampaolo Pazzini wrapped things up in the 81st minute, with El Shaarawy and Nocerino resting on the bench. From FIFA
