Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi,
Abu Dhabi - WAM

Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of State for Tolerance, has said that authors are beacons of enlightened thought as they shield young people from misconceptions they could encounter while interacting with others.

She noted that tolerance and happiness are traits of the Emirati people who are focussed on building their homeland and achieving prosperity.

Sheikha Lubna made the remarks while receiving in her office at Zayed University, Emirati media person, Majid Al Marzouqi, author of the two books, "Bilateral Happiness and Tolerance" and "Optimistic Hearts."

The UAE minister said the two valuable books reinforce notions of happiness, tolerance and provide a solid platform for strengthening the "humanitarian values based on respect for cultural diversity, tolerance, shared values of understanding and eschewing of extremism, hatred, as well as discrimination and contempt."

She emphasised that the two books also urge for national responsibility and sensitise people towards the service of the nation and humanity as well.

Sheikha Lubna added that Al Marzouqi is one of the competent Emiratis who contribute positively to the intellectual development of the society, and encourage others to do the same for their beloved country.

Sheikh Lubna reiterated that tolerance and happiness are values that lead to harmony and peaceful co-existence.
