Culture one of Egypt's most important soft powers

Culture Minister Abdel Wahid Al Nabawi on Sunday said his ministry is one of Egypt's most important soft power ministries.
In a press conference, the minister added that the culture ministry takes responsibility for maintaining the country's unity and presenting Egypt's civilization for the world.
All bodies and institutions of the ministry are monitored and followed-up, Nabawi said.
He added that the ministry hopes to raise its budget to EGP 10 billion to develop an ambitious cultural project for the Egyptian people.
Wages gobble up 65% of the culture ministry's budget, the minister said.
