Oman's Sultan Qaboos bin Said cabled Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to condole with him over the victims of an Egyptian plane that crashed into the Mediterranean Sea on Thursday.

In his cable, Sultan Qaboos offered his deepest condolences to President Sisi, the families of the victims and the Egyptian people, Omani news agency reported on Friday.

EgyptAir flight MS804 was en route from Paris to Cairo with 66 passengers and crew when it vanished in the early hours of Thursday.
