National Council for Human Rights
Cairo - Arab Today

hairman of the National Council for Human Rights (NCHR) Mohammad Fayeq strongly condemned the terror attack that targeted El Boutroseya Coptic Orthodox Church this morning.

In a press statement on Sunday, Fayeq reiterated his condemnation of all forms of terrorism whoever the perpetrator is and wherever they are.

These terrorist crimes are blatant violation of the right to live, the highest part of human rights, which is maintained by all religions.

Meanwhile, the NCHR extended condolences to the victims' families, the Egyptian people and the Egyptian Church, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.

At least 25 people were killed, while 49 others were injured in an explosion that targeted the Boutrosiya Church which is adjacent to the St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in Abbassiya in Cairo.
