Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has strongly condemned the Bangkok bomb blast which killed at least 19 people on Monday.

"I strongly condemn the blast in Bangkok. My thoughts are with the families of the deceased. I pray for a speedy recovery of the injured," Prime Minister tweeted early Tuesday morning.

Nineteen people were killed and at least 117 others injured in an explosion in downtown Bangkok on Monday night.
