China firmly opposes terrorism
Beijing - Arab Today

Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang on Monday sent condolences over a terror attack in the eastern Pakistani city of Lahore, which has claimed 72 lives and injured more than 300 others.

In a message to Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Li said he was shocked by the news of the attack that had caused heavy casualties, mostly women and children.

Li, on behalf of the Chinese government, extended profound condolences to the victims while expressing deep sympathy with their relatives and the injured.

China firmly opposes terrorism in all forms and will continue to firmly support the Pakistani government and people in their efforts to maintain national security and stability and to crack down on terrorism, the Chinese premier said.

A suicide bombing rocked a public park in Lahore on Sunday evening, leaving at least 72 dead as of Monday morning. A Pakistani Taliban splinter group has reportedly claimed the attack.
