Bahrain condemns suicide blast in Egypt

The Bahraini Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned the terrorist bombing that targeted a national security building in Egypt.

It also expressed sincere wishes for the speedy recovery of all the injured.

The ministry in a statement affirmed the solidarity of Bahrain with Egypt in its efforts to combat violence and terrorism.

Bahrain supports Egypt's actions to safeguard the security and safety of citizens and residents and the protection of all state institutions and expressed its appreciation of Egypt's tireless efforts to achieve the hopes and aspirations of the Egyptian people for further prosperity, the ministry said.

A large car bomb explosion took place early Thursday outside a national security building in Shubra el Khaima, a Cairo suburb.

In the blast scene, there was a burnt vehicle and crater.

The blast caused cracks in the four-storey building and damaged many nearby residential buildings and vehicles as well.

Security forces sealed off all roads leading to the site of the blast and traffic was diverted.
