Arab Parliament speaker mourns Heikal

Arab Parliament Speaker Ahmed al Jarwan offered condolences for the Egyptian leadership, government and people over the death of veteran Egyptian writer and journalist Mohamed Hassanein Heikal who died earlier Wednesday, aged 93.
In a statement, Jarwan said that Heikal enriched the Egyptian and Arab media for more than a half century.
He was also well-known for his political analysis of the important issues and incidents, the statement read.
May God rest his soul in peace, he concluded.
