Accountant jailed for sexually assaulting woman in a lift

An accountant has been jailed for grabbing a woman in an lift.
The Jordanian, 25, left the American victim bruised after the attack in an apartment in Al Raffa in Bur Dubai.
He defendant was convicted of a sexual assault charge when he appeared at Dubai Criminal Court.
The victim, 40, said the assault took place around midday on Christmas Day.
"I was in the lift heading to my apartment and he was in there with me. He gave me this strange look then grabbed me by my breast," said the woman. She pushed him away and screamed at him, she said.
As the lift door opened, he ran away, she said.
Four hours later, the defendant took a flight from Sharjah International Airport and left the country. He was arrested when he returned on January 5.
The woman identified him at Al Raffa Police Station.
On Tuesday, a judge sentenced him to three months in prison to be followed by deportation.
