Philip Martins guilty of killing lawyer Linda Bakewell

A 48-year-old man has been found guilty of murdering his friend, a Liverpool solicitor, whose body he hid in a car.The jury at Chester Crown Court convicted Philip Martins of smothering and strangling Linda Bakewell, 45Mr Martins, a machine operator from Somerford Walk, Widnes, denied murder.The court heard Martins had tried to blacken the successful lawyer's memory by falsely claiming she accidentally choked to death while performing a sex act.
