
A Myanmar expat has been added to the list of terrorists and national security criminals for the first time after being arrested in a security operation on Shawwal 4.
This comes as authorities arrested 25 people during the past week on terrorism charges, including the Myanmar expat.
Between Shawwal 8 and 15, authorities arrested 12 Saudis, and two Yemenis, as well as one citizen each from Turkey, India and Myanmar, in addition to four other suspects.
On Shawwal 8, two Saudis and two Pakistanis were arrested, while another Pakistani citizen was arrested the following day. An Egyptian and a Saudi were arrested on the Shawwal 10, while authorities arrested another Saudi national on Shawwal 11. Three more suspects were arrested on Shawwal 12, including a Turkish national and two Saudis.
On Shawwal 13, seven more suspects were arrested by authorities, including three Egyptians and two Saudis, as well as an Indian and a Yemeni. The following day, the Myanmar expat was arrested, alongside another Yemeni and a Saudi. The week concluded with the arrest of a Pakistani on Shawwal 15.
