A miner was killed in a coal mine collapse in Zonugldak state in western Turkey Friday, local media reported.
Ihlas news agency said all miners were rescued after 30 minutes of the incident and were evacuated to hospital, including the killed miner, yet medical efforts to revive him failed.
A recent report from a leading workers' union has revealed a total of 361 people died in mining accidents in Turkey in 2014.
The report, prepared by the Confederation of Revolutionary Workers' Unions, highlighted the explosion in Soma, a town in Manisa province, which killed 301 miners in May 2014.
According to the report, the accident passed into history as one of the greatest mine accidents ever in the world.
