
At least 12 bodies of laborers were pulled out from the rubble after a marble mine collapsed in Ziarat area of Mohmand Agency of northern Pakistan, said officials on Sunday.
A political administration official, Political Tehsildar Meraj Khan told media that at least 17 laborers were buried alive as a marble quarry collapsed at the Ziarat mine in Safi tehsil.
He confirmed death of 12 miners, adding that the incident took place at Khanqah Mountain when workers were busy loading trucks.
The official added that rescue teams have also pulled out an injured laborer while search for remaining four is underway.
