A lion has killed a keeper at a zoo in South Korea, a media report said Friday.
The lion attacked the 53-year-old keeper at Children's Grand Park in eastern Seoul Thursday afternoon, the Yonhap News agency reported.
"Closed-circuit television footage shows that he entered the cage to put some toys there," Yonhap quoted an investigator as saying.
The keeper was given first aid but died later, the report quoted zoo officials as saying.
A doctor said the keeper died after apparently being bitten on the neck.
It was the first fatal incident at the zoo during its 42-year existence, the report said.
