
Two non-commissioned police officers and three conscripts were killed on Friday when unidentified gunmen opened fire against them at a security checkpoint in al Badrasheen area in Giza, said a security source.
In statements, the source added that Assistant Interior Minister and Giza security director Major General Hisham al Iraqy and other security leaders rushed to the scene of the attack.
Several checkpoints were deployed and a manhunt operation was launched to arrest the perpetrators, added the source.
