
EU High Representative Federica Mogherini said in a statement Friday that Ukraine and Georgia, along with Albania, Montenegro and Norway, joined the EU decision to prolong sanctions against Crimea for another year, Sputnik news agency reported.
European companies are forbidden to supply to the Crimea goods and technologies in the field of transport, telecommunications and oil production.
Following the European Union, the five partner countries of the EU extended to June 23, 2018 sanctions against the Crimea. This is stated in a message on the website of the Council of the European Union.
The EU Council decision was adopted on June 19 and joined by Ukraine, Albania, Montenegro, Norway and Georgia.
